A Message from Our Interim President

Hello my friends! I am pleased to be back at Booth University College. There is a certain thrill that attends what “awaits”, whether it is the changing of seasons, the first stage of a new project, opening a new book, or a brand new experience. I never tire of that “first time feeling”.  We are amid the summer season; may I suggest prioritizing rest in what has been and is a tumultuous time. I have come to learn that it’s often in the slow and simple moments that we are able to really feel the thrill of the goodness of life happening all around us. We don’t want to miss any of those moments. For this season, and as I start again at Booth UC, let’s set aside some of those expectations, leave some work undone, even some achievements unmet. Let’s dispel the misguided belief that we are able to find our worth only in what we do or accomplish. Take these “lazy, hazy, days of summer” to slow down, to catch our breath, and to believe there is value in choosing this. Discover how rest and work go hand in hand in your own life, for “There is a right time for everything…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 TLB
