The Corporate Learning Academy (CLA) provides online, on-demand, self-paced courses to develop personal and professional skills. Gain experience and confidence that will benefit you at every level in your volunteer, staff, and leadership roles. 

Overview

The CLA courses are open to everyone. Guided by the unique needs of The Salvation Army, these courses are valuable to anyone working in not-for-profit or leadership roles.

Explore courses on technical skills, interpersonal skills, the workplace environment, leadership, and much more. 

CLA courses are all online, on-demand, and self-paced. They range from 3-6 hours and include videos, quizzes, and interactive elements.

Participants receive a Certificate of Completion. 

Why the Corporate Learning Academy?

The CLA launched in 2022 with a goal to provide flexible training and development opportunities for The Salvation Army’s Mission Partners (employees, officers, cadets, auxiliary captains, auxiliary lieutenants). It’s also open to anyone looking to hone their not-for-profit or leadership skills.

Mission

The CLA exists to provide quality training to Mission Partners of The Salvation Army to increase individual and organizational effectiveness for the advancement of the Mission.

Salvation Army Alignment

  • Housed at Booth University College, the CLA provides credibility and quality control, reliable tracking systems, and easy reporting capability.
  • As an internal partner, the CLA has a deep understanding of the organizational culture, mission, and structure of The Salvation Army.
  • The CLA is in complete Mission alignment.
  • The CLA will create an ‘even’ platform for training and development, especially for smaller and remote ministry units.
