On behalf of the President, Lieut. Colonel Dr. Susan van Duinen, we are pleased to announce that Buetta Warkentin, Associate Professor of Social Work, will be the new Interim Academic Dean. Her role commences on September 1, 2022.
Associate Professor Buetta Warkentin MSW, RSW, MTS joined the School of Social Work at Booth UC in 2006 with a background in child welfare and therapeutic work with at-risk youth. She holds degrees in theology, psychology, and social work, with joint MSW and MTS degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Buetta has taught many courses at Booth UC over the years and has a particular research interest in the intersection of spirituality, religion, and faith with social work practice.
