#BOOTHBOUND An Event for Salvationists

What happens when you get a group of Salvationist high school students together? You have fun! Booth Bound 2021 will be no exception.

Our very first Booth Bound in 2009

Booth Bound is Booth University College’s signature Admissions event, which started in 2009 as a way for young Salvationists to experience Booth UC and get to know the city of Winnipeg. Traditionally, students from all over Canada would fly in and stay in Booth UC’s residence. They were able to attend a few classes, get to know faculty, staff and students, worship at a local Corps, and see the sites of the city.

Like many other events in our lives, Booth Bound has taken on a different form for 2021. How do we translate attending a Winnipeg Blue Bombers game, or taking a class with Dr. Burke, or munching on pizza in the Booth UC Bistro to online reality? We keep the one common element in all of these events – fun!

Throwback to Booth Bound 2019

From 6 pm CST to 7 pm CST on February 1, 2021, Admissions Counsellors Kailey Gillis (BA/20) and Keegan Braun will host students from around the world in an online event, filled with games, tours, alumni conversations and yes, some academic info as well. There will be a special greeting and opening prayer from our Chancellor and Canada and Bermuda Territory’s Commander, Commissioner Floyd Tidd, and visits by our Interim President, Dr. Burke and our VP and Academic Dean, Dr. Boyce.

Booth Bound 2021 is geared towards Salvationist students, parents, youth pastors and Corps Officers and is free to attend.

Watch out though – Kailey Gillis (BA/20) attended Booth Bound in 2015, and she is now an alumna and a staff member. You never know what great things might happen! Hope to see you there.
