CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE FROM BOOTH UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, FEBRUARY 16, 2021

Manitoba Pandemic Response Level Red – Critical

Due to the recent announcement by Manitoba Public Health, the following directives are in place for the present Response Level Red with lifted restrictions.

All employees (Faculty and Staff) except those in the departments listed below (essential services) are encouraged to work from home during the present Response Level Red. At this time, the following departments will remain working from campus during regular working hours Monday – Friday.

  • Facilities
  • Hospitality
  • Student Services
  • Front Desk (Waldron Building)
  • Library
  • Financial Services (limited days)

All business meetings will continue to be held virtually.

All Winter term classes will continue to be delivered virtually.

All Spring term classes will be delivered virtually.

As of Monday, February 22, 2021, the library will be extending in-person study, reference, and borrowing to Mon-Thurs 8:00 am-8:00 pm. Friday and Saturday hours will remain at 8:00 am-6:00 pm and 10:00 am-5:00 pm respectively. The number of people studying/staying in the library will be limited to 15 patrons (staff not included). Only one household per table will be permitted. The library is open to Booth UC and CFOT students and staff and not open to the public at this time.

All Student Services supports will continue to be provided virtually.

Residence will continue to interact within cohorts. No socializing between cohorts will be allowed at this time.

The Crisis Management Team continues to monitor the situation and will review as provincial regulations change.
