COVID-19 UPDATE FROM BOOTH UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, JANUARY 6, 2022

January 6, 2022

Booth University College remains committed to the health and safety of our campus community. This Bulletin is being released in light of the new Omicron variant and its increased transmissibility, and as such, there are some changes to our original plans for the Winter term.

The Return to Campus Plan has been placed on hold and only previously designated departments (essential services) will be required to be on campus at this time. While we strongly encourage all others to work from home, if employees still prefer to work on campus, they must speak with their supervisor to confirm a schedule.

Booth UC requires all employees, students, contractors and visitors to wear a 3-ply well fitted filtered mask, ie. KN95, N95, medical grade, etc., in all common and/or shared spaces, complete a self-screening declaration before entering and adhere to social distancing guidelines posted throughout campus
.
Anyone coming to campus (employees, students, contractors and visitors) are required to be fully vaccinated and must provide a one-time proof of vaccination: Manitoba Immunization QR Codes, Manitoba Immunization Cards, Manitoba Immunization Records, or proof from other jurisdictions.

The previously designated departments will remain working from campus during regular working hours Monday- Friday:
➢ Facilities
➢ Hospitality
➢ Student Services
➢ Front Desk (Waldron Building)
➢ Library
➢ Financial Services (limited days)

All employees are encouraged to hold business meetings virtually. For any required in-person meetings, masks must be worn at all times and participants must socially distance.

VACCINE ELIGIBILITY
We encourage all employees and students to receive a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. These are available at any location that offers the COVID-19 vaccine.
Applications for immunization cards for fully vaccinated people can be made online at https://immunizationcard.manitoba.ca/. Full information is available on the province’s website.
