Booth UC Student Council’s Toy Trot Walk-a-thon
Toy Mountain is a fundraising campaign set out by The Salvation Army to help raise funds to provide families with gifts and essential items during the holiday season. In past years we have held paint nights, coffee houses and bake sales to fundraise. However, this year we have decided to do something different: a “Toy Trot Walk-a-thon” happening on NOVEMBER 28th,2020.
The Toy Trot will be a 2 km walk-a-thon to raise money to assist the Toy Mountain campaign. Each participant will walk 2 km and raise funds to go towards our goal. Our goal this year is to raise $500. Booth UC students, staff, and faculty members are invited to participate in “The Toy Trot.” There are two ways that you can help:
- Become a participant: Commit to walking 2 km on Nov 28th and solicit pledge donations from family and friends to support the cause. Sign up and obtain a pledge form by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Student Council via their social media platforms (Facebook or Instagram).
- Make a donation: Cash, cheque or visa payments are accepted. These can be sent to Sherilyn at the Front Desk who is collecting payments. Donations by credit card are accepted over the phone by calling Booth reception 204-947-6701 (ext “0”), or 204-924-4895 (Sherilyn’s desk phone). Cheques can be made payable to Booth University College.
Receipts for income tax purposes will be issued for all donations above $10.
Please join us in helping spread holiday cheer to those in need this holiday season!
