Looking Towards January and the New Year

Looking Towards January and the New Year

With the continued health and safety of the entire Booth UC community in mind, last month we announced that we would continue with online delivery for the 2021 winter term.

Dr. Michael Boyce

We also have a full slate of virtual events planned once the term begins on January 11, 2021, with the first one being our next lecture in the Earl Robinson Memorial Lecture Series. On January 26, 2020, Dr. Michael Boyce will present “A Final Frontier? The Uneasy Tension between Science Fiction and Faith” This lecture will examine the often uneasy tensions in Christian Science Fiction, comparing the pioneering (though almost forgotten) writer, Victor Rousseau Emanuel (1879-1960) with C.S. Lewis (1898-1963).

Booth Bound is set to take place on February 1, 2021. Two virtual events are planned for Salvationist young people from across Canada, the US, and around the globe. Come together virtually and meet Booth UC facility, current students, and alumni.

Student Council already has some fun contests and virtual gatherings planned for the winter. Additionally, our Heritage Week and Indigenous Perspectives Week will move online. More details will be announced in January.
