Glen is a Uniting Church in Australia minister who has been an employee of The Salvation Army for over twelve years. He is currently Research Coordinator at Eva Burrows College, Melbourne, a Salvation Army college within the University of Divinity. He teaches in Christian history and theology, specialising in Wesleyan studies. He is President of the Uniting Church National History Society, Vice-President of the Religious History Association, a Research Fellow of the Australasian Centre for Wesleyan Research (ACWR), an Honorary Fellow of the Manchester (UK) Wesley Research Centre, a Member of the Australian Historical Association, and a Member of the American Academy of Religion. Glen has published widely on Wesleyan and Methodist themes, including two volumes in the Ashgate Methodist Studies Series – Methodism in Australia: A History (edited with Hilary Carey, 2015) and Wesleyan-Holiness Churches in Australia (2018), as well as many articles in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in edited collections. His next book, John Wesley’s Political World, will be published by Routledge in 2022.
