Major Rodney Bungay
Major Rodney Bungay was born in Newfoundland to Salvation Army Officer parents who served as international leaders in Papua New Guinea, South Africa, South East Asia, as well as in national appointments in Canada.
As an ordained minister of The Salvation Army, Major Bungay has worked in a number of fields in the positions of:
- Corps Officer/Pastor
- Seconded Emergency Disaster Services Leader
- Executive Director
Before beginning his ministry with The Salvation Army and completing a BA, and later an MA in Leadership, Major Bungay also worked in a wide variety of disciplines, some of which include:
- Combat Engineer- Canadian Forces
- Certified Journeyman Technician- Automotive industry
- Parts and Service Manager- Automotive dealership
Major Bungay’s time off is filled with spending quality time with his wife Paulette of 29 years, his love of reading, fixing vehicles or anything broken, fly fishing, hunting big and small game, travelling, vegetable farming, and a lifelong fascination with seeking to better understand the theory and “rubber meets the road” realities of management, leadership, and God’s Word.
