Coordinator Field Education and Work Placement Programs
Sandi Gendreau joined Booth University College in July 2019. Sandi is a First Nation person. Her profession is social work and has worked with: foster care, persons who have a physical disability, First Nation community-based health programs, Aboriginal health, and has worked with post-secondary students. Sandi attained both degrees from the University of Manitoba, with a special interest in deafness. Her thesis researched how caregivers have found ways to adapt to deafness within their home and within their community. Her experiences of being raised on reserve, having lived & worked at Northern Manitoba has greatly enriched her life, both personally and professionally.
