Wesley McKenzie

Sessional Instructor

Wesley has worked in management positions for over 20 years, first in the commercial printing industry in St. Louis, Missouri, and since 2000 as the Human Resources Director for The Salvation Army’s Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Division. As the Division’s first HR staff person, he has built the HR function in the division from the ground up. He has served on several territorial committees addressing various HR concerns, and has worked to push the limits of contemporary HR best practices and ideas within his division.

Wesley holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from Greenville College and a Master of Management/HR from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, as well as a member of the organization’s local chapter in Milwaukee.

Outside of his professional efforts, Wesley is a proud husband and father of four children. He is active in local education causes, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Oak Creek-Franklin Foundation for Education, and as a member of the PTO board at his kids’ elementary school. He enjoys American history, writing, reading, classic movies, baseball, and American football. Above all, he treasures family time and enjoys being a baseball dad, a dance dad, and a member of the Oak Creek Centennial Corps.
