September is upon us and with it the start of a new academic year. To kick things off, Booth UC held our annual Welcome Day celebrations on September 6th. All students were invited to campus to attend in person and there was also a virtual option.
The day was an absolute blast! Approximately 35 students, from first to third year, were in attendance making for quite the crowd. There were also many staff and faculty on hand to assist and answer questions.

The day started off in Hetherington Chapel with small group activities and a variety of icebreaker games. It was not long before the hum of conversation and laughter filled the room. From there, participants transitioned to our rooftop patio where a delicious lunch was served. Booth Bistro staff truly outdid themselves putting the meal together.

We began the afternoon with a meet and greet in classroom D. Students were given the opportunity to make in-person and virtual connections with a variety of faculty and staff. This was followed by a panel discussion consisting of our student leaders and volunteers. The panel shared their own academic experiences, tips, and advice with the incoming class.
To cap off the day, students were given tours (both in-person and virtual) of the Booth UC campus. They enjoyed visiting every nook and cranny of the Waldron building and Peterson Hall, all the while keeping an eye out for collectible rubber ducks that could be turned in for prizes.
Welcome Day truly did welcome the incoming students to campus and provided them with the knowledge and connections to launch into a brand-new, successful year. Thank you so much to everyone who participated.
