Greg graduated from the social work program at Booth University College in 1995. An experienced Social Worker and leader, Greg has worked in the healthcare and social services sectors now for more than 30 years. Having spent the first 9 years in the not-for-profit sector in Manitoba and Ontario, Greg has been working in the public sector now for a combined 23 years in both urban and rural healthcare in Manitoba. Greg also served as an elected leader in the public education system in Manitoba for 20 years. First elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 as a School Trustee in Seine River School Division, Greg served as Chair of both the Human Resources and Finance & Operations committees and Vice-Chair of the board. Greg graduated from BoothUC in 1995 and later served on the Board of Trustees from 2009 to 2015.Greg is an active-practicing member of the Manitoba College of Social Workers (MCSW) and is a graduate of the Joint Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program at The University of Manitoba and The University of Winnipeg (2021). Greg is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Fred Douglas Society Incorporated in Winnipeg; a not-for-profit provider of seniors housing options serving more than 600 seniors through rent geared to income apartments, life-lease apartments, supportive housing and a personal care home.
