David Woodland is the Divisional Social Services Secretary for The Salvation Army in the British Columbia Division. David’s role is to serve as coach, facilitator, and trainer, and to provide support to the multi-faceted social service programs of Salvation Army ministry units throughout British Columbia.

David is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that Salvation Army operations in British Columbia operate at the highest level of efficiency, providing quality service to the many individuals who come to Salvation Army centres for assistance on a daily basis. To work toward this goal, David monitors national accreditation standards for Salvation Army operations, facilitates strategic and program planning, and provides consultative support to Salvation Army personnel.

David holds a Master of Arts degree from Trinity Western University (Langley, BC) with a specialization in Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts from Booth University College (Winnipeg, MB) with a major in Biblical and Theological Studies. David has served with The Salvation Army for over 35 years in a variety of leadership roles at points across Canada.

25 beds for domestically abused women and families
6 youth support recovery beds
277 assisted living/long-term care for seniors
