Services for Winter 2021

Access to the library: The library is open for in-person and electronic reference to BoothUC and CFOT students and staff only. 

In-Person: The library remains open to students, staff and faculty Mon-Fri, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm & Saturdays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm for in-person services, including if you want a quiet place to study.

Virtual Services: Evenings are closed for in-person visits; however, if you need assistance, we will still be checking emails, voicemails, and taking video & phone appointments during this time.

The elevator to the library is fob access only. If your fob does not work or you do not have one, please call the library from the foyer @ 204-924-4858 and we will let you in.

We are limited to no more than 15 people in the library at one time.

Guests: No outside guests will be permitted. Visiting students can contact the library if they want to borrow something from our collection.

Reference/Research Help: Students are able to either come in to the library for reference/research help or get help via zoom, email, or phone. Masks will be mandatory for any help other than checking out books. Students should use our online booking form to schedule their appointment. Staff can help with finding materials, writing citations, formatting & structuring papers, & technology help.

Book Appointment

Reserves: Textbooks on reserve are in house use only once per day on a first come, first served basis. Students can only book any reserves once per week. Click here to book a day and time to read or scan items.

Interlibrary Loans: Electronic ILL service remains available. Borrowing print books largely depends on what other institutions decide to do. For now, please assume that print ILL service will not be available and note that electronic ILL service is limited to book chapters and articles; complete eBooks cannot be loaned through ILL due to copyright restrictions.
