- 5 credits (courses) at the grade 12 level (Manitoba high school 40 A, S, C, G, U, or equivalent)
- At least 80% average in: English 40S and two other 40S credits from different subject areas

- Transfer students: 21 credit hours, minimum 2.5 CGPA
- Current Booth UC students: 21 credit hours, minimum 2.5 CGPA, including minimum C+ in SWK110 Introduction to Social Work
Resume: Describe your previous education, work, and volunteer experience.
- Identify which of your work and volunteer experiences are related to social or human services.
- Note the number of hours at each employment and volunteer experience.
Personal Statement: In 4-5 pages (academic style, double spaced) answer these questions:
- Why do you want to be a Social Worker?
- What does social justice mean to you? Include a social problem you’re passionate about and how you would respond to it.
Letters of Reference: Provide an academic reference and a work or volunteer reference. Include contact information for you references in your application form. To submit letters of reference, use the online reference request form in your populi application.
- Academic References: If you are a current Booth UC student, the academic reference must come from a faculty member at Booth UC who has taught you.
- Work or Volunteer References: References can be work or volunteer supervisors, practicum supervisors, or relevant professionals. They must be qualified to speak to your suitability and potential for studies in social work.
