Major William Pearce

William has a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Booth University College.  He was employed by The Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters (Toronto) in the Education Department (Leadership Development) before becoming a Salvation Army officer.  He was ordained as a Salvation Army officer from the College for Officer Training (Toronto) in 1991. William has had congregational appointments in Ontario, Alberta and Newfoundland with a focus on rural ministry. He has a Master of Divinity with a major in Biblical Studies from Tyndale Seminary. He has a Certificate in Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care from Booth University College. William is currently a hospital chaplain in Newfoundland at St. John’s Hospital Chaplaincy, which includes five medical facilities. He enjoys music and plays cornet in The Salvation Army St. John’s Temple Senior Band. He also finds time to relax by hiking the scenic trails of Newfoundland with his wife Barbara.
