The Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Students at Booth UC have access to 24/7 counselling, wellness resources, and iCBT toolkit to help them manage their mental health while at school. The Booth UC Student Assistance Program (SAP) links students with professional counsellors in several ways:
- By phone: Call 1-855-853-0565 to schedule an appointment
- Through chat in the on-line or phone app
- Through virtual counselling sessions
- Through in person counselling sessions [on request]
Students can connect with SAP Counsellors to address or prevent a variety of concerns, including:
- mental health (anxiety, loneliness, depression, homesickness, etc.)
- family and relationship concerns
- financial stress
- work and career questions
- nutritional choices
Once enrolled at Booth UC, students will access this service through the Dialogue phone app or through the MyVirtualDoctor portal on the Booth UC MyStudentPlan website: https://www.mystudentplan.ca/booth/en/home.
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is free to Booth UC students! All enrolled students have access to this service. The service is available any time of the day or night, any day of the year.
My Wellness Program
As part of the Booth University College Student Health & Dental Plan, students have 24/7 access to mywellness.com.
Mywellness was specifically developed for Canadian post-secondary students. It focuses on the full cycle of support including awareness, education, and care.
Through mywellness students can:
- receive a free mental health assessment
- speak with a councillor online
- access a toolbox of mental health resources
- take control of their mental health

REES (Respect, Educate, Empower Survivors)
Booth UC has partnered with REES to provide online reporting for sexual violence on campus. REES allows members of our campus community to Create a Record of the incident and choose from multiple reporting options:
- Anonymous Report
- Connect to My Campus
- Report to Police
- Repeat Perpetrator Identification (RPI)
REES provides information about campus and community-based resources such as sexual assault centres, healthcare, and support services. REES can be accessed online anywhere, anytime. Go to their website and select Booth UC from the drop-down list.

Counselling Referrals
If you want to meet in person with a professional counsellor in Winnipeg, contact the Dean of Students for a list of off-campus professional counselors.
Providence University Counselling
Booth UC and Providence University College have a cooperation agreement. Graduate students in the Providence Master of Arts Counselling and Counselling Psychology programs are available to provide counselling services to Booth UC students. This service is provided free of charge in a confidential environment (either in-person or virtual) under the supervision of the Providence Practicum Coordinator.
