Each year Booth UC welcomes students from many different countries around the world. Whatever your background, you'll find a warm and inviting community that will support you throughout your academic program.
Our support services for international students focus on the unique challenges and opportunities you will face when studying in Canada. You will meet mentors and advisors who get to know you by name, so that they can support you with any questions or concerns you may have while at Booth UC. Contact us any time to receive the support you need.
Immigration Support
Being an international student comes with specific responsibilities for your immigration status in Canada. To help international students understand these responsibilities and address immigration concerns, we have an International Student Advisor who is licensed through the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants as a Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA). The International Student Advisor can provide immigration advice to international students about study permits, temporary resident visas, and study permits related to other permits currently available in Canadian immigration programs.
Appointments with the International Student Advisor can be booked though the International Student Support group in Populi Student Information System. This group is also a central point for international students to gather and share information.
Policies and Complaints
All students should be aware of our policies to understand their rights and responsibilities while studying at Booth UC. Policies include procedures for filing a complaint.
To register a complaint or concern, you may also contact the Dean of Students directly by email or appointment. To book a virtual or in-person appointment with the Dean of Students, contact the Booth UC Receptionist.
International Student Resources Group
There's lots to consider when studying as an international student. The International Student Resources Group is meant to help you through any challenges and connect you with other international students. It includes tutorials on how to do things, resources for international students, and a chat room/discussion tab to connect with students and staff. Students can find this group in the Populi Information System under the groups tab.
