New Library Search – January 2, 2019

We are excited to announce that on January 2, 2019 a new integrated search experience will replace our current library catalogue.  This will allow users to search for a topic across our books, ebooks, and most of our article databases at the same time. The new search is mobile friendly and all of its features work on a small or large screen.

The most exciting part is that you will no longer have to use your library barcode and a separate password to login and search from home. The new system will use the same username and password that you use for MyBoothOnline and your Student Portal. Faculty & staff will use their network login.

Links to ebooks and articles are easier to find. Users can save personalized lists of resources to their accounts, email links to themselves, and even create citations for any resources found, including print books! No more running back to the library if you forgot to write down the date or publisher! As well, they are able to search the libraries of most academic libraries in Manitoba with a single click from the results screen, so if we do not have a book, they can see who else does have a copy. Quick links to search course reserves and a streamlined requesting process are also part of the new services

If you have saved the website or have saved your passwords in your computer or phone, you will have to update the bookmarks and passwords on your devices
