A Grateful Journey
by Winnie Mukene (AA/24)
My fondest memory of Booth University College is intertwined with gratitude and resilience.
Despite facing many personal hurdles, Booth University College displayed unwavering support and allowed me to pursue my degree remotely. This act of accommodation transformed into a defining chapter in my academic journey, culminating in the proud possession of my Associate of Arts Degree.
I am immensely grateful for the nurturing presence of Dean of Students, Rhonda Friesen, whose care transcended her administrative role. Her guidance and compassion provided solace during challenging times, reaffirming my belief in the power of human connection.
Moreover, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Booth University College for entrusting me with the leadership role of the international representative on Student Council. This responsibility later blossomed into the Student Council presidency in 2022/23. These opportunities enriched my academic experience and instilled in me a profound sense of responsibility and leadership.
As I reflect on my time at Booth UC, I am filled with profound gratitude. It is a place where challenges are met with resilience, and support knows no bounds. I will forever cherish the memories and the invaluable lessons learned. Thank you, Booth University College, for shaping me into the person I am today.
