Announcements, Campus Updates, Community Life

Booth University College (Booth UC) had the honour of hosting the Deputy Mayor of the City of Winnipeg, Councillor Janice Lukes on a tour of our Campus, housed in The Waldron Building, 290 Vaughan Street in Winnipeg. The Deputy Mayor’s visit on Friday December 6, 2024 was the first official tour of the campus by any government official after the grand opening ceremony of the new campus on September 28, 2024. The visit highlights Booth University’s commitment to building strong relationships with the leadership of our dear City and our dedication to the growth of the City of Winnipeg.

Councillor Lukes was received warmly by our Director of External Relations, Dr. Sunday Akin Olukoju who took the Deputy Mayor on the tour of the facilities. Councillor Lukes also met with President Rev. (Dr) Rob A. Fringer to discuss the rich history of the Waldron Building, one of Winnipeg's well-preserved heritage buildings. This conversation touched on Booth UC’s new strategic plan to promote the institution’s mantra of "Education for a Better World" through education for a better Booth UC, TSA, Winnipeg, Canada and beyond.
