Territorial Commander Invites Salvation Army Communities to Support Booth UC Sunday

Booth University College Sunday Returns October 18, 2026

Every third Sunday in October, something special and important happens across The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory, and that is Booth University College Sunday.

It is a day set aside to celebrate Booth UC, share its mission with Salvation Army congregations and ministry units, and highlight the role the College plays in providing Christian higher education rooted in faith, service and leadership.

This year, Booth UC Sunday will be observed on October 18, 2026, with ministry leaders encouraged to share the Booth UC Sunday video and help their communities connect with and support the College’s mission.

In an official letter to Ministry Unit Leaders, Commissioner Lee Graves, Territorial Commander and Chancellor of Booth University College, encouraged Salvation Army leaders to recognize Booth UC Sunday within their worship services and help raise awareness of the College within their communities.

In his letter, Commissioner Graves described Booth University College as the Territory’s own Christian university college and highlighted its contribution to academic excellence, Christian education and service. He also emphasized Booth UC’s roots in The Salvation Army’s Wesleyan theological tradition and its commitment to bringing together Christian faith, rigorous scholarship and service.

At Booth UC, students are equipped to understand the complexities of the world, develop the knowledge and skills needed to contribute meaningfully to society, and consider how their Christian faith can inspire hope, social justice and mercy.

As part of Booth UC Sunday, Salvation Army ministry units are being invited to share a special Booth University College video during their October 18 worship services and promote the College within their local settings.

Commissioner Graves also recognized the leadership of Rev. Dr. Rob Fringer, President of Booth University College, together with the College’s faculty and staff, in advancing Booth UC’s mission to engage with faith, equip for service and empower through education.
