This graduate theological degree is a partnership between Tyndale Seminary and Booth University College. It’s the only graduate theological program in the world to offer a specialization in Salvation Army studies.

This is a Tyndale-based Master of Theological Studies in Salvation Army studies. It's accredited with the Association of Theological Schools in the Unites States and Canada. The widely-recognized accreditation allows eligible graduates to pursue advanced degrees or transfer courses to other seminaries in North America. 

Graduates will receive:

  • a degree from Tyndale University College and Seminary
  • a certificate of expertise in Salvation Army studies from Booth University College

Courses come in a variety of formats for flexibility. You can take the full degree online. Some courses will also be offered in modular formats, livestreamed, or taught in person at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. 

Salvation Army Specialization

Booth University College’s School for Continuing Studies designs and delivers the Salvation Army specialized courses. They’re rooted in The Salvation Army's 150-year history of meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in society. Salvation Army scholars and practitioners will guide your studies in the history and theology of The Salvation Army and its Wesleyan heritage. You'll gain a deeper understanding of The Salvation Army within the broader church. You'll analyze social and moral issues and explore the global mission of The Salvation Army in today’s world.
